Wallaroo to Lucky Bay Ferry service is running again and the Franklin Harbour Hotel have a courtesy pick up service.
COWELL is situated on Eastern Eyre Peninsula in South Australia 100km south of Whyalla which is home of the snapper fishing championships, and only 15km from the Lucky Bay Ferry Terminal. COWELL has plenty to offer in the way of accommodation ranging from caravan parks, motels, holiday houses/units and pubs, simply checkout our link page on our website for more info on places to stay.
Snapper are the main target species but from time to time fishing with Ozzy can pull out some fantastic surprises! “Leaving times vary as I try to fish the best fishing time and tides each day and weather plays a part too.”
2 Day Fishing Packages Available
Bonus Snapper fishing 2 day getaway in Cowell $600 per person all inclusive. This Package includes:
- 2 half day charters hunting the reds with all Shimano fishing gear supplied or bring your own if preferred.
- 2 nights accommodation in the Franklin Harbour Hotel, walking distance from the launch ramp, with all meals. Monster steaks and fresh seafood evening meals, breakfast each morning with packed lunch (or hotel menu if not fishing through lunch).
- Fish cleaning area and freezer storage on site too.
- Packages can be tailored to suit for extra days on request.
- Packages are based on a minimum of four people for two days.
